NuMA (nuclear mitotic apparatus) is a long coiled-coil protein that plays a role during interphase and mitosis.

In interphase: hypothesized to play a structural role in the nucleoskeleton, important for nuclear organization and function.
During mitosis: associated with spindle microtubule organization and chromosome positioning.
