• In direct ELISAs, approximately 15% cross-reactivity with recombinant human Cathepsin C is observed.
• Less than 1% cross-reactivity with recombinant mouse Cathepsin A, B, D, H, and X/Z/P.
• Reconstitute at 0.2 mg/mL in sterile PBS.

Target Information

Cathepsin C (DPPI, dipeptidyl aminopeptidase I) is a tetrameric lysosomal cysteine peptidase of the papain family. It plays a role in intracellular protein degradation and precursor processing, participating in cell growth, neuraminidase activation, and platelet factor XIII activation.
Highly expressed in spleen, kidney, cytotoxic lymphocytes, and myeloid cells, Cathepsin C localizes to secretory granules. It is synthesized as a proenzyme and processed into two chains forming the mature enzyme.
Enzymatic activity requires halide ions (chloride) and thiols for full function.
