RCBTB1 유전자는 N-말단 RCC1 도메인과 C-말단 BTB (Broad complex, Tramtrack, and Bric-a-brac) 도메인을 가진 단백질을 암호화합니다.
Rat에서 이 유전자의 과발현은 혈관 평활근 세포의 비대를 유도하며, C-말단은 Angiotensin II receptor-1A와 상호작용합니다.
인간에서는 이 유전자가 염색체 13q 영역에 위치하며, B-cell 만성 림프구성 백혈병 및 기타 림프종에서 자주 결실되는 영역입니다.
