Description:
The FR70 monoclonal antibody reacts with mouse CD70, a 30–33 kDa type II transmembrane glycoprotein. CD70 is a TNF family member expressed by activated mouse T and B lymphocytes. Interaction of CD70 with CD27, its ligand on T cells, is critical for T–B cell crosstalk, costimulation, and immune regulation.

Applications Reported:
FR70 has been reported for use in flow cytometric analysis and in vitro CD70 blocking assays.

Applications Tested:
Tested by flow cytometric analysis of LPS-stimulated mouse splenocytes. Recommended usage ≤ 0.5 µg/test (100 µL final volume). Cell count may vary between 10⁵–10⁸ cells/test. Antibody titration is recommended for optimal performance.

Storage and Handling:
Use in a sterile environment.

Target Information

The CD70 protein is a cytokine belonging to the TNF ligand family and acts as a ligand for TNFRSF27/CD27. It is expressed on activated T and B lymphocytes, but not resting cells. CD70 promotes proliferation of costimulated T cells, enhances cytolytic T cell generation, and contributes to T cell activation. It also regulates B-cell activation, NK cell cytotoxicity, and immunoglobulin synthesis.
