Product Specific Information
- IHC (PFA fixed): Incubate antibody for 30 minutes at room temperature.
- For formalin-fixed tissues, heat sections in 10 mM Tris with 1 mM EDTA (pH 9.0) for 45 minutes at 95°C, then cool at room temperature for 20 minutes.
Target Information
Fibronectin is a disulfide-bonded dimer (230–250 kDa) present in extracellular matrices of connective tissues and vessels. It exists as an insoluble, cross-linked polymer and as a soluble plasma protein. Fibronectin plays key roles in cell adhesion, migration, embryogenesis, wound healing, coagulation, host defense, and metastasis. Elevated Fibronectin expression is observed in non-small cell lung carcinoma, enhancing tumorigenicity and resistance to chemotherapy-induced apoptosis. The FN1 gene undergoes alternative splicing, producing multiple transcript variants.
