Target Information
Salmonella 속은 Enterobacteriaceae과에 속하는 그람 음성 간균으로, 통성 혐기성이고 편모(flagella)를 가진 운동성 세균입니다.
Salmonella는 3가지 주요 표면 항원을 가집니다:
- H (flagellar) antigen – phase 1 및 2
- O (somatic) antigen – LPS의 일부
- Vi (capsular) antigen – 다른 Enterobacteriaceae에서는 K antigen으로 불림
Salmonella는 그람 음성균 특유의 LPS endotoxin을 가지며, 이는 O polysaccharide (O antigen), R core, 그리고 내독소성 Lipid A로 구성됩니다.
Endotoxin은 발열을 유발하고 complement, kinin, clotting factor를 활성화할 수 있습니다.
