Target Information
Rb는 핵 내 종양 억제 인산단백질로, DNA 결합 능력을 가지며 세린 및 트레오닌 잔기에서 인산화된다. SV40 large T antigen, adenovirus E1A, human papilloma virus-16 E 등과 복합체를 형성한다. Rb 단백질은 전사 조절에 관여하며, 기능 상실 시 비정상적인 세포 성장으로 이어질 수 있다. RB 유전자의 이상은 유방암, 대장암, 전립선암, 신장암, 비인두암, 백혈병 등과 관련이 있다.
