Target Information
CREB (Cyclic AMP response element binding protein)은 43 kDa의 basic/leucine zipper 전사 인자로, 다양한 세포외 신호(신경전달물질, 호르몬, 성장 및 신경영양 인자 등)에 반응하여 CRE(cyclic AMP response element)에 결합해 전사를 활성화합니다. CREB의 활성은 serine 133의 인산화에 의존하며, 이는 p44/42 MAP kinase, p90RSK, p38 MAP kinase, MSK1 경로를 통해 조절됩니다. 인산화된 CREB만이 전사 인자로서 기능하며, CREB binding protein(CBP)은 serine 133 부위에서 CREB와 직접 결합합니다. CREB는 생체 리듬 조절, 지방세포 분화, 학습 및 기억 등 다양한 세포 과정에 관여합니다. 인간에서는 2번 염색체 q arm에 위치하며, CREB 기능 이상은 알츠하이머병, 조직구종, 연조직 흑색종 등과 관련이 있습니다.
