Target Information
GST (Glutathione S-transferase) is a 26 kDa protein found in both eukaryotes and prokaryotes, catalyzing various reactions.
It is widely used to create GST gene fusion systems, allowing purification of GST-fusion proteins via their high affinity for glutathione.
Fusion proteins are valuable in biological assays for studying direct protein-to-protein interactions.
The GST gene fusion system has been introduced into numerous expression vectors.
