Target Information
E-Cadherin (epithelial cadherin)은 칼슘 의존적 세포 간 접착을 매개하는 glycoprotein으로, cadherin superfamily에 속하는 대표적인 단백질입니다.
이 단백질은 5개의 extracellular cadherin 반복, transmembrane 영역, 그리고 highly conserved cytoplasmic tail로 구성되어 있습니다.
CDH1 유전자는 인간 염색체 16번에 위치하며, 돌연변이는 위암, 유방암, 대장암, 갑상선암, 난소암 등 다양한 암에서 관련이 있습니다.
E-Cadherin의 발현 감소 또는 소실은 암의 침습성과 전이 가능성과 양의 상관관계를 가지며, 세포의 증식, 침윤 및 전이에 영향을 줄 수 있습니다.
이 단백질의 ectodomain은 세균의 세포 부착에 관여하고, cytoplasmic domain은 내부화에 필수적입니다.
