This peptide corresponds to a 16 amino acid sequence near the amino terminus of human TLX3.
PEP-1598 can be used as a blocking peptide with polyclonal antibody PA5-34555.
For use as a blocking peptide in Western blot, incubate the peptide with an equal volume of antibody for 30 minutes at 37ºC.

The Hox proteins play a role in embryonic development and cellular differentiation by regulating downstream target genes.
TLX3 (homeobox11-like1, HOX11L2) is a DNA-binding nuclear transcription factor expressed in a subset of the primary sensory nervous system.
TLX3, together with TLX1, promotes an excitatory glutamatergic neuronal phenotype over an inhibitory GABAergic phenotype, opposing LBX1 signals during dorsal spinal cord development.
Chromosomal translocations of the TLX3 gene have been associated with certain forms of T-cell acute lymphoblastic leukemia (T-ALL).
