- Western blot 시 샘플을 끓이지 말고 로딩해야 신호 손실을 방지할 수 있습니다.
- Hydrophobic intrinsic membrane protein은 SDS-PAGE에서 예측보다 빠르게 이동할 수 있습니다.
- Western blot에서 약 40 kDa 밴드(예측 MW: 57 kDa)를 검출하며, mouse liver lysate에서는 37 kDa 이하의 특이 밴드가 검출됩니다.

Target Information
Cytochrome c oxidase subunit I (CO1 또는 MTCO1)는 미토콘드리아 DNA에 의해 암호화된 3개의 서브유닛(MTCO1, MTCO2, MTCO3) 중 하나로, 호흡 복합체 IV의 구성 요소입니다. 복합체 IV는 미토콘드리아 내막에 위치하며, 산화적 인산화 전자전달계의 마지막 효소입니다.
총 13개의 폴리펩타이드로 구성되어 있으며, MTCO1, MTCO2, MTCO3는 mtDNA에 의해 암호화되고 나머지는 핵 DNA에 의해 암호화됩니다.
Cytochrome c oxidase 효소군은 4개의 산화환원 중심(2개의 heme과 2개의 copper)을 가지며, MTCO1 서브유닛은 heme a, heme a3 및 CuB 결합 부위를 포함합니다.
연구에 따르면 COX 서브유닛 I의 돌연변이는 효소 기능에 영향을 줄 수 있으며, 여러 mtDNA 하플로타입이 안정적으로 유지될 수 있습니다.
