Product Specific Information
Heat-mediated antigen retrieval is recommended prior to staining using a 10 mM citrate buffer (pH 6.0) for 10 minutes, followed by cooling at room temperature for 20 minutes.
After antigen retrieval, incubate samples with primary antibody for 10 minutes at room temperature.
Suggested positive control tissues: placenta or kidney.
Target Information
TWEAK is a member of the TNF family and was first described as a weak inducer of apoptosis.
A receptor for TWEAK, known as TweakR, was isolated by expression cloning from a HUVEC cell cDNA library.
TweakR belongs to the TNF receptor superfamily and initiates proliferative signaling by binding to TRAF1, 2, and 3.
TweakR mRNA is upregulated during tissue regeneration in the aorta and liver and may play a role in vascular cell migration and angiogenesis.
