Target Information
SPT16 and SSRP1 are found in all eukaryotic cells and exist as part of an essential heterodimer complex. Together, SPT16 and SSRP1 form the nuclear complex FACT (Facilitates Chromatin Transcription), which enhances RNA polymerase II processivity through nucleosomes. FACT may also play a role in DNA replication by facilitating polymerase progression through nucleosomes.
