Target Information
SPT16 and SSRP1 are found in all eukaryotic cells as part of an essential heterodimer complex. Together, they form the FACT (Facilitates Chromatin Transcription) complex, a highly abundant nuclear complex in mammals. FACT enhances RNA polymerase II processivity through nucleosomes and may also facilitate DNA polymerase activity during replication.
