Target Information

Rad1 is a component of a heterotrimeric PCNA-like complex with Rad9 and Hus1 proteins. This complex is part of the 9-1-1 cell cycle checkpoint response, playing a major role in DNA repair by associating with Rad17 and components of the PCNA-loading replication factor C. Mutants have been shown to partially restore radiation resistance and G2-checkpoint activity, and Rad1 also possesses exonuclease activity.
