Antibody detects endogenous levels of total CD19.
Target Information
CD19 is a member of the immunoglobulin superfamily and has two Ig-like domains. It is expressed on 100% of peripheral B cells and is also found on certain myeloid leukemia cells. CD19 acts as a signal-amplifying coreceptor for the B cell receptor (BCR), regulating normal and malignant B cell proliferation. Mutations in CD19 can cause hypogammaglobulinemia, while overexpression leads to B cell hyperactivity.
