Antibody detects endogenous levels of total CD19.
Target Information
CD19 is a member of the immunoglobulin superfamily and has two Ig-like domains. It is expressed on 100% of peripheral B cells and also found on certain myeloid leukemia cells. CD19 serves as a signal-amplifying coreceptor for the B cell receptor (BCR) and can also signal independently. It regulates normal and malignant B cell proliferation. Mutation of the CD19 gene results in hypogammaglobulinemia, while overexpression causes B cell hyperactivity.
