Target Information
CALHM2 (also known as FAM26B) is a pore-forming subunit of a voltage-gated ion channel.
It functions as a critical ATP-releasing channel that modulates neural activity and may act as a potential risk factor for depression.
There are three isoforms of CALHM2 with calculated molecular weights of 36 kDa, 24 kDa, and 22 kDa.
In Western blot using membrane protein extracts, it appears around 32–36 kDa.
