Product Specific Information

The 61D3 monoclonal antibody reacts with human CD14, a 53–55 kDa GPI-linked glycoprotein expressed on monocytes, interfollicular macrophages, and some dendritic cells. Complexes of LPS and LBP bind with high affinity to monocytes through surface CD14.

Applications Reported: Flow cytometric analysis
Applications Tested: Pre-titrated and validated for human peripheral blood cells at 5 µL (0.25 µg) per test. One test is defined as the amount required to stain cells in a 100 µL volume.

• Alexa Fluor® 700 emits at 723 nm and is excited with the 633 nm red laser.
• Recommended filter set: 685 LP mirror and 710/20 filter.

Target Information

CD14 is a 55 kDa GPI-anchored glycoprotein constitutively expressed on mature monocytes, macrophages, and neutrophils. It functions as a multifunctional lipopolysaccharide (LPS) receptor and exists in both membrane-bound and soluble forms. CD14 interacts with LPS-binding protein (LBP) and participates in immune recognition, inflammation, and apoptotic cell binding.
Dysfunction of CD14 is associated with conditions such as Mycobacterium chelonae infection and croup.
