• Reconstitution:
  Reconstitute with 25 µL, 50 µL, or 0.2 mL of double distilled water (DDW), depending on sample size.
  Ships as lyophilized powder at room temperature. Upon arrival, store at -20°C.
  Reconstituted solution: store at 4°C for up to 1 week. For long-term storage, aliquot and store at -20°C.
  Avoid repeated freeze/thaw cycles.
  Centrifuge antibody preparations before use (10,000 × g, 5 min).

Target Information

The alpha-1b adrenoceptor is an adrenergic receptor responsible for smooth muscle contraction, regulating vascular tone and blood pressure, and contributing to atherosclerosis development.
Decreased expression is associated with benign prostatic hyperplasia (BPH).
It can act as a proto-oncogene, where constitutive activation induces neoplastic transformation.
Documented in adrenal, aorta, brain regions, eye, heart, kidney, liver, prostate, spinal cord, and spleen.
ESTs have been isolated from kidney (normal and cancer) and lung carcinoma libraries.
