Target Information
THRAP3 is a 955 amino acid nuclear receptor-associated protein and a member of the Thyroid Hormone Receptor Associated Protein family. It contains a LISH domain and functions as a 150 kDa subunit of the large multiprotein complex TRAP. THRAP3 is crucial for maintaining the structural integrity of the fibrillar center and dense fibrillar component in the nucleolus and plays a role in transcriptional coactivation. It interacts with DKC1, nop5/nap65, and fibrillarin. Northern blot analysis indicates TRAP150 is ubiquitously expressed in human tissues.
