Target Information
BRCA1 (Breast and Ovarian Cancer Susceptibility Protein 1)은 핵 인산화 단백질로, 유전체 안정성을 유지하고 종양 억제 기능을 수행합니다. BRCA1은 RNA polymerase II 및 histone deacetylase complex와 상호작용하여 전사 조절, DNA 이중가닥 절단 복구 및 재조합에 관여합니다.
BRCA1 유전자의 돌연변이는 유전성 유방암의 약 40%, 유전성 유방 및 난소암의 80% 이상을 유발합니다. 다양한 스플라이싱 변이체가 보고되었으며, 일부는 질병 관련 돌연변이로 알려져 있습니다. 또한, 염색체 17에 위치한 관련 유사유전자가 존재합니다.
