• Reconstitution: 50 µL or 0.2 mL double distilled water (DDW), depending on sample size.
• The antibody ships as a lyophilized powder at room temperature.
• Upon arrival, store at -20°C.
• After reconstitution, store at 4°C for up to 1 week.
• For longer storage, aliquot and keep at -20°C.
• Avoid multiple freeze/thaw cycles.
• Centrifuge all antibody preparations before use (10,000 × g, 5 min).

Target Information

MC2R encodes one member of the five-member G-protein–associated melanocortin receptor family.
Melanocortins are peptides derived from pro-opiomelanocortin.
MC2R is selectively activated by adrenocorticotropic hormone, whereas the other four melanocortin receptors recognize a variety of melanocortin ligands.
Mutations in MC2R can result in familial glucocorticoid deficiency.
