Product Specific Information
For reconstitution, add 100 µL distilled water to achieve a final antibody concentration of approximately 1 mg/mL.
For conjugation experiments, perform an additional desalting step using Zeba Spin Desalting Columns (7K MWCO, 0.5 mL, Product #89882).
Target Information
Osteopontin is an arginine-glycine-aspartic acid (RGD)-containing glycoprotein that interacts with integrins and CD44 as major receptors. It plays roles in bone mineralization, cell adhesion, migration, chronic inflammation, and tumor transformation.
Proteolytic cleavage by thrombin and matrix metalloproteinases near the integrin-binding RGD sequence modulates its function.
Thrombin-cleaved fragments are overexpressed in malignant glial tumors, providing a survival advantage and serving as substrates for plasmin and cathepsin D.
