Product Specific Information
- For reconstitution, add 100 µL distilled water to achieve a final antibody concentration of approximately 1 mg/mL.
- For conjugation experiments, perform an additional desalting step (recommended: Zeba Spin Desalting Columns, 7K MWCO, 0.5 mL, Product #89882).
Target Information
Osteopontin (SPP1) is an RGD-containing glycoprotein that interacts with integrins and CD44 as major receptors. It plays roles in bone mineralization, cell adhesion, migration, chronic inflammatory disease, and cellular transformation. Proteolytic cleavage by thrombin and matrix metalloproteinases near the RGD sequence modulates its integrin-binding properties. Thrombin-cleaved fragments are overexpressed in malignant glial tumors, contributing to tumor survival and providing substrates for plasmin and cathepsin D.
