Product Specific Information
Lyophilized antibody should be reconstituted with deionized water (or equivalent) to a final concentration of 0.5 mg/mL.
Adalimumab, commercially known as Humira, is a TNF-inhibiting monoclonal antibody used to treat autoimmune diseases such as rheumatoid arthritis, psoriatic arthritis, ankylosing spondylitis, Crohn's disease, ulcerative colitis, chronic psoriasis, hidradenitis suppurativa, and juvenile idiopathic arthritis.
It binds to tumor necrosis factor-alpha (TNFα), preventing its interaction with TNFα receptors and thereby reducing inflammatory responses. Because TNFα is also involved in immune defense, treatment with adalimumab may increase susceptibility to infections.
