Description:
The SN6 monoclonal antibody reacts with human CD105 (Endoglin), a ~90 kDa disulfide-linked homodimer expressed by vascular endothelial cells, bone marrow cells, and activated macrophages. CD105 is suggested to function in adhesion and embryonic angiogenesis.

Applications Reported:
The SN6 antibody has been reported to have functional activity.

Applications Tested:
Tested by flow cytometric analysis of U937 cell line. Recommended ≤1 µg per test (100 µL final volume). Optimal concentration should be determined empirically (10⁵–10⁸ cells/test).

Storage and Handling:
Use in a sterile environment.

Filtration:
0.2 µm post-manufacturing filtered.

Purity:

90%, determined by SDS-PAGE.

Endotoxin Level:
<0.001 ng/µg antibody (LAL assay).

Target Information

CD105 (Endoglin) is a Type I transmembrane protein highly expressed on human vascular endothelial cells. It forms an O- and N-glycosylated homodimer. Upregulation of Endoglin has been observed in tumor vasculature and proliferating cells, making it a proliferation-associated endothelial marker. CD105 binds TGF-β1 and TGF-β3 with high affinity, but not TGF-β2.
