ICAD (Inhibitor of Caspase-Activated DNase)는 핵 내 아포토시스 조절에 관여하는 단백질로, caspase-3에 의해 절단되어 CAD(DNase)를 활성화시켜 DNA 단편화를 유도합니다.
ICAD는 두 가지 아이소폼(ICAD-L/DFF45, ICAD-S/DFF35)을 가지며, 이 중 ICAD-L이 기능적 형태로 알려져 있습니다.
