Product Specific Information

For FACS analysis, use 10 µL of the suggested working dilution to label 1×10⁶ cells in 100 µL.
Mouse anti-Rabbit CD4 antibody, clone KEN-4 recognizes the rabbit CD4 cell surface antigen, a 50 kDa glycoprotein expressed by T helper cells.
This antibody blocks the allogeneic mixed lymphocyte reaction response.


Target Information

The CD4 antigen is involved in the recognition of MHC class II molecules and acts as a co-receptor for HIV.
CD4 is primarily expressed in T helper cells but can also be found in monocytes, macrophages, and dendritic cells.
At the tissue level, CD4 expression occurs in thymus, lymph nodes, tonsils, spleen, and specific regions of the brain and gut.
It functions to initiate or augment early T-cell activation via association with the T-cell receptor complex and Lck kinase and may mediate neuronal damage in immune-related CNS diseases.
Multiple alternatively spliced transcripts have been identified (RefSeq, July 2017).
