Sarcolemmal membrane associated protein (SLMAP)는 단백질-단백질 상호작용을 통해 도킹 및 막 융합 과정에 관여하는 막 결합 단백질입니다. SLMAP 발현 이상은 제2형 당뇨병과 관련이 있으며, 심장 기능 조절에도 중요한 역할을 합니다.
SLMAP에는 대체 스플라이싱으로 인해 분자량이 서로 다른 여러 아이소폼(35, 45, 63, 83–91 kDa)이 존재합니다. 35 kDa 아이소폼은 주로 심장 및 느린 연축 근육에서 발현되며, 83–91 kDa 아이소폼은 대부분의 조직에서 발현됩니다.
