Target Information

The MAGEB4 gene belongs to the MAGEB family, whose members have entire coding sequences located in the last exon. Proteins in this family share 50–68% sequence identity. Variability in promoters and first exons suggests that these genes enable similar functions under different transcriptional controls.
MAGEB genes are clustered on chromosome Xp22–p21, and this gene sequence ends in the first intron of MAGEB1. Expression is primarily observed in testis.
