Product Specific Information
Store vial at -20°C prior to opening. Aliquot contents and freeze at -20°C or below for extended storage. Avoid repeated freeze/thaw cycles. Centrifuge product if not completely clear after standing at room temperature. Stable for several weeks at 4°C as an undiluted liquid. Dilute only prior to immediate use.
This affinity-purified antibody is directed against human PI3 Kinase p55 gamma. BLAST analysis indicates cross-reactivity based on 100% homology with mouse and rat, and 94.1% homology with bovine.
Target Information
PIK3R3 binds to activated (phosphorylated) protein-tyrosine kinases through its SH2 domain and regulates their kinase activity. During insulin stimulation, it also binds to IRS-1. It forms a heterodimer with p110 (catalytic) and p55 (regulatory) subunits. Highest expression in brain and testis; lower levels in adipose tissue, kidney, heart, lung, and skeletal muscle. The protein contains two SH2 domains.
