Recombinant rabbit monoclonal antibodies are produced using in vitro expression systems. These systems are developed by cloning specific antibody DNA sequences from immunoreactive rabbits. Individual clones are screened to select the best candidates for production.

Target Information

CD73 (Ecto-5'-nucleotidase, 5'-ribonucleotide phosphohydrolase) catalyzes the conversion of purine 5'-mononucleotides to nucleosides at neutral pH, with AMP as the preferred substrate.
CD73 is a dimer of two identical 70 kDa subunits bound externally to the plasma membrane via a glycosyl phosphatidylinositol linkage. It serves as a marker of lymphocyte differentiation, and deficiency is associated with various immunodeficiency diseases.

Other 5'-nucleotidase forms exist in the cytoplasm and lysosomes, distinguishable by substrate affinities, magnesium ion requirement, ATP activation, and phosphate inhibition.
The CD73 gene is localized to 6q14–q21. Defects can lead to calcification of joints and arteries, and intestinal tuberculosis. Two transcript variants encoding different isoforms have been identified.
