Target Information
GST (Glutathione S-transferase) is a 26 kDa protein present in both eukaryotes and prokaryotes, catalyzing various reactions.
Glutathione S-transferase is used to create the GST gene fusion system, enabling purification of GST-fusion proteins via high affinity for glutathione.
Fusion proteins are valuable tools for studying direct protein–protein interactions, and the GST gene fusion system has been incorporated into numerous expression vectors.
