Product Specific Information
Store vial at -20°C prior to opening. Aliquot contents and freeze at -20°C or below for extended storage. Avoid cycles of freezing and thawing. Centrifuge product if not completely clear after standing at room temperature.
This product is stable for several weeks at 4°C as an undiluted liquid. Dilute only prior to immediate use.
This affinity purified antibody is directed against human SFRP1 protein. BLAST analysis indicates 100% homology for the immunogen sequence in human SFRP1, with expected cross-reactivity to mouse, rat, and bovine SFRP1 (91% positive by BLAST). Cross-reactivity with other homologues has not been determined.
Target Information
Secreted frizzled-related protein 1 (SFRP1) is a member of the SFRP family containing a cysteine-rich domain homologous to the Wnt-binding site of Frizzled proteins. SFRPs act as soluble modulators of Wnt signaling. SFRP1 and SFRP5 may influence photoreceptor cell polarity in the retina. SFRP1 is expressed in several human tissues, with the highest expression in the heart.
