Product Specific Information
Recombinant rabbit monoclonal antibodies are produced using in vitro expression systems. The expression systems are developed by cloning the specific antibody DNA sequences from immunoreactive rabbits, followed by screening individual clones to select optimal candidates for production.
Advantages include:
- Improved specificity and sensitivity
- Lot-to-lot consistency
- Animal origin–free formulations
- Broader immunoreactivity to diverse targets due to the larger rabbit immune repertoire
Target Information
Tyrosine phosphorylation plays a critical role in signal transduction from transmembrane receptors and oncogene tyrosine kinases. Phosphorylation of specific tyrosine residues is a key mechanism in normal mitogenesis, cell cycle progression, and oncogenic transformation.
Antibodies that specifically recognize phosphorylated tyrosine residues are invaluable tools for studying tyrosine-phosphorylated proteins and their biochemical pathways. The fluorescein (FITC) conjugate of clone PY20 anti-phosphotyrosine is particularly useful for detecting P-Tyr proteins in immunohistochemical and immunocytochemical protocols, especially when secondary antibody use may complicate detection.
For Research Use Only. Not for use in diagnostic procedures. Not for resale without express authorization.
