Product Specific Information
Recombinant rabbit monoclonal antibodies are produced using in vitro expression systems. The antibody DNA sequences from immunoreactive rabbits are cloned, and individual clones are screened to select the best candidates for production.

Target Information
HAMP is involved in the maintenance of iron homeostasis and is necessary for regulating iron storage in macrophages and intestinal iron absorption. The preproprotein is post-translationally cleaved into mature peptides (20, 22, and 25 amino acids), which are rich in cysteines forming intramolecular bonds that stabilize beta-sheet structures. These peptides exhibit antimicrobial activity.
