Target Information
STAT4는 다른 STAT 단백질과 보존된 영역을 기반으로 처음 동정된 전사인자로, STAT1과 52%, STAT3과 47%의 유사성을 보입니다. STAT4는 Jak1 또는 Jak2에 의해 티로신 인산화될 수 있으며, 동종 또는 이종 다이머를 형성합니다. 인산화된 STAT4는 IFN-γ 활성화 부위(GAS)에 결합하며, 세린 인산화는 최대 전사 활성에 필요합니다. STAT4 발현은 흉선, 비장, 고환에 제한적으로 나타납니다. STAT4는 IL-12에 의해 활성화되며, IL-12는 T세포 비의존적 IFN-γ 유도 및 Th1 반응 형성에 필수적입니다. STAT4 결핍 생쥐는 Th1 세포 발달이 저해되고 Th2 세포 발달이 증가하는 특징을 보입니다. 또한 바이러스 감염 시 IFN-α/β에 의한 STAT4 활성화가 IFN-γ 생산에 필요함이 보고되었습니다.
