For reconstitution, add 100 µL distilled water to achieve a final antibody concentration of approximately 1 mg/mL.
For conjugation experiments, perform an additional desalting step using Zeba Spin Desalting Columns (7K MWCO, 0.5 mL, Product #89882).
Target Information
CD30 (Ki-1, TNF Receptor Superfamily Member 8) is a type I transmembrane glycoprotein belonging to the TNF receptor superfamily. It was first identified on Hodgkin’s and Reed-Sternberg cells using monoclonal antibody Ki-1. CD30 interacts with its ligand CD30L (CD153), mediating cell proliferation, activation, differentiation, and apoptosis.
CD30 plays a key role in Hodgkin’s disease and other CD30+ lymphomas and functions as a costimulatory molecule during thymic negative selection. It is expressed in certain non-Hodgkin’s lymphomas, virus-infected T/B cells, and activated normal T/B cells.
Soluble CD30 (sCD30) serves as a marker of Th2 immune response. TRAF2 and TRAF5 interact with CD30 to activate NF-κB signaling. CD30 positively regulates apoptosis and limits autoreactive CD8 effector T cell proliferation, contributing to immune homeostasis.
Two alternatively spliced transcript variants encoding distinct isoforms have been reported. CD30 is expressed by mononuclear cells in Hodgkin’s lymphoma, Reed-Sternberg cells, and most Anaplastic Large Cell Lymphomas (ALCL), as well as embryonal carcinomas.
