Product Specific Information
For reconstitution, add 100 µL distilled water to obtain a final antibody concentration of approximately 1 mg/mL.
For conjugation experiments, perform an additional desalting step using Zeba Spin Desalting Columns (7K MWCO, 0.5 mL, Product #89882).
Target Information
The modification of proteins with ubiquitin is a key mechanism for targeting abnormal or short-lived proteins for degradation.
Ubiquitination involves three classes of enzymes:
- E1 (ubiquitin-activating enzymes)
- E2 (ubiquitin-conjugating enzymes)
- E3 (ubiquitin-protein ligases)
This gene encodes an E2 ubiquitin-conjugating enzyme with 100% sequence identity to the mouse counterpart. It is ubiquitously expressed, with high levels in adult muscle. Three alternatively spliced transcript variants encoding distinct isoforms have been identified.
