SERPINA3는 Alpha 1-ACT를 인코딩하며, 초기 급성기 반응성 혈장 단백질이자 세린 프로테아제 억제제(serpin)입니다. 주로 키모트립신, 카텝신 G, 키마제 등을 비활성화합니다. Alpha-1-ACT는 알츠하이머병(AD) 및 노화된 인간 및 원숭이 뇌의 아밀로이드 플라크와 밀접하게 관련되어 있습니다. 세린 프로테아제 및 그 억제제의 조절은 신경근육 분화에 중요한 역할을 합니다. 전립선 특이 항원(PSA)은 주로 Alpha-1-ACT와 복합체를 형성합니다.
