Product Specific Information
- In direct ELISAs, no cross-reactivity with recombinant human IL-2R alpha, gamma c, IL-4R, or IL-6R is observed.
- Reconstitute at 0.5 mg/mL in sterile PBS.
- Endotoxin level: <0.10 EU per 1 µg of antibody (LAL method).
Target Information
CD122 (Interleukin-2 receptor beta chain) participates in T cell-mediated immune responses and is primarily expressed in the hematopoietic system.
It exists in three forms:
- Low affinity: Alpha subunit monomer, not involved in signal transduction
- Intermediate affinity: Alpha/beta heterodimer
- High affinity: Alpha/beta/gamma heterotrimer
Intermediate and high affinity forms are responsible for receptor-mediated endocytosis and mitogenic signal transduction.
The beta subunit encoded by the CD122 gene is a type I membrane protein.
Dysfunction of CD122 is associated with oligoarticular juvenile idiopathic arthritis and rheumatoid factor-negative juvenile idiopathic arthritis.
