Target Information
This gene encodes poly(ADP-ribosyl)transferase-like 1 protein, which catalyzes poly(ADP-ribosyl)ation reactions. It has a catalytic domain homologous to poly(ADP-ribosyl) transferase but lacks the N-terminal DNA binding domain that activates the C-terminal catalytic domain. As it cannot bind DNA directly, its transferase activity may be regulated by protein-protein interactions via the carboxyl terminus.
