This antibody detects endogenous levels of STYK1/NOK only when phosphorylated at Tyr327.
Target Information
STYK1 is a probable tyrosine protein kinase with strong transforming capabilities in various cell lines. Overexpression can induce tumor cell invasion and metastasis in distant organs. It may act through activation of MAP kinase and PI3K pathways. STYK1 is widely expressed, with high levels in brain, placenta, and prostate. It is expressed in tumor cells such as hepatoma (LO2), cervix carcinoma (HeLa), ovary cancer (Ho8910), and chronic myelogenous leukemia (K562) cells, but not in certain other tumor types such as epidermoid carcinoma.
