Product Specific Information

The eBioMWReg30 monoclonal antibody reacts with mouse CD41 (fibrinogen receptor, gpIIb, integrin alpha IIb). CD41 is expressed on platelets, megakaryocytes, and hematopoietic progenitors in embryo, fetus, and adult. It associates with CD61 to form a receptor involved in platelet adhesion and aggregation.

CD41 expression is used in combination with SLAM-family markers (CD48, CD150) to distinguish hematopoietic stem cell populations. The CD150⁺CD48⁻CD41⁻ phenotype identifies highly enriched HSCs.

Each product includes:

Applications Reported: Flow cytometric analysis
Applications Tested: Flow cytometric analysis of mouse platelets (≤0.125 µg/test, 100 µL final volume). Optimize dilution per assay.

Important Notes:

• NovaFluor dyes are incompatible with DNA intercalating viability dyes (e.g., propidium iodide, 7-AAD, DAPI).
• Use Invitrogen LIVE/DEAD Fixable Dead Cell stains for viability assessment.
• CellBlox Plus Blocking Buffer (Cat. No. C001T06F01) must be used for optimal staining. Add 5 µL per sample or per 100 µL of cell suspension.
• NovaFluor conjugates utilize Phiton™ technology, providing engineered fluorescent signatures optimized for minimal spectral spillover.
• Excitation: 568 nm; Emission: 568 nm; Laser: 561 nm (Yellow).
• NovaFluor Yellow 570 may show non-specific staining of B cells in SJL mice; not observed in BALB/c or C57BL/6 strains.

Target Information

CD41 (platelet glycoprotein IIb, ITGA2B) consists of α (120 kDa) and β (23 kDa) subunits that interact with CD61 to form a functional receptor mediating platelet aggregation and adhesion. CD41 binds fibrinogen, fibronectin, vitronectin, and von Willebrand factor. It is primarily expressed in megakaryocyte-platelet lineage and early hematopoietic differentiation stages.
