Target Information
MMP(matrix metalloproteinase)는 결합조직 성분을 분해할 수 있는 단백질분해 효소군입니다.
이들은 공통적인 활성화 기전과 금속 결합 활성 부위의 보존된 아미노산 서열을 가지며, TIMP(tissue inhibitors of metalloproteinases)에 의해 억제됩니다.
MMP와 TIMP는 혈관신생 조절에 중요한 역할을 합니다.
MMP2는 631 아미노산으로 구성된 전구 효소 형태로 합성되며, N-말단 80개의 아미노산 절단을 통해 활성화됩니다.
MMP2는 propeptide, catalytic, hemopexin 도메인을 포함하고 있으며, 세포외기질의 주요 성분(콜라겐, 피브로넥틴, 라미닌 등)을 분해합니다.
