Product Specific Information
The antibody was affinity-purified from rabbit antiserum by affinity chromatography using an epitope-specific immunogen. The purity is greater than 95% as determined by SDS-PAGE.
Target Information
Med30 is a subunit of the RNA polymerase II (Pol II) transcriptional mediator complex. This complex acts as a coactivator in the regulated transcription of Pol II-dependent genes, serving as a bridge between gene-specific regulatory proteins and the basal Pol II transcription machinery. It is recruited to promoter regions through direct interaction with regulatory proteins and also functions as a scaffold for assembling a pre-initiation complex with Pol II and other transcription factors. Med30 is found in the nucleus and expressed in brain, heart, kidney, liver, lung, pancreas, placenta, and skeletal muscle.
