Product Specific Information
The antibody was affinity-purified from rabbit antiserum by affinity chromatography using an epitope-specific immunogen. Purity is greater than 95% as determined by SDS-PAGE.
Target Information
Mucins are high molecular weight glycoproteins composed of approximately 80% carbohydrate and 20% protein core. Gastric mucin is normally found in the human gastrointestinal tract. Re-expression of gastric mucin during colonic carcinogenesis is associated with the reappearance of the peptide core of gastric (or fetal colonic) mucins.
