Target Information

The C1D protein is a DNA-binding and apoptosis-inducing nuclear protein. It interacts with Rac3 and functions as a corepressor for the thyroid hormone receptor. It is believed to regulate TRAX/Translin complex formation. Alternative splicing produces multiple transcript variants encoding the same protein. Multiple pseudogenes exist on chromosome 10.
